Mate in 1 Chess Puzzles App Reviews

I like the app. The goal is always "mate in 1". Sometimes I see the solution in 10 seconds, a few times in 4 minutes. Its a good training for a beginner.

Great app! No bugs that i have seen so far. Very smooth, good UI, and fast AI response. Overall this a very good and nicely polished app. The only thing is that mate in 1 is relatively easy, but it does state that in the app description. So overall i would rate it 5 stars.

Really good app, like I enjoy it, not so hard so far and just enough to keep your attention and concentration. Great app to have for chess amateur like me.

I got this app for my son who wants to learn to play chess. So far no issues and am considering getting the mate in 2 etc... after reading one of the users who is having issues after puzzle 50!! going to wait before I buy another one, can the developer please confirm or deny the current issue being brought by one of the users?? Othrer than that great app!!!

This is a lot of fun and is helping my study positions

It works well until it gets stuck loading. Then none of the problems are accessible. Please fix this. Also, it would be great if each problem had a button to the next puzzle, so you didnt need to return to the index every time.

Unlike the other apps (mate in 2 etc) the majority of the problems here have practical value. Toward the end there some complex compositions that are fun as oddities but not as training. It would be nice if the next problem would load up after completing a mate without having to go back to the home screen, kind of common sense here guys...

This is a superbly executed chess puzzle game. It will challenge you and keep you busy for hours! Also buy the other "Mate In" games from this developer (Shawn Gano), since they are all of the highest quality. My TOP RATED developer! Larry Z.

It was worth it. I just played all 188 games between last night and tonight and as a novice (some intermediate) level experience, Im glad I made this purchase. Please fix five things: Let me compete against a friend showing side by side times so we know who solved which puzzles faster Save my previous times so I can see my own progress. Make each successive game within each level harder. Some games were just too easy after some tricky ones. It was obvious it was not about my unique experiences playing chess but rather an obvious removal of difficulty. I know certain concepts need to be ingrained but when you have the same setup and the same move for mate, changing only one non involved piece should not qualify it as a new game! Lastly, can you display the instances where I made a mistake but then still found a solution? This would be good in measuring my progress. Thank you!

I enjoy this game a lot. Mate in one is pretty easy but it still has value as an end game trainer. Mate in two and four are better but when you just want to play a simple chess puzzle, this one is really good.

Mate in ones are so vital. Work on them. The format of this app makes it pretty clumsy. When you solve a puzzle you have to click back to the list scroll down and click the next one! Very cumbersome. With done updates it might be better.

I really enjoy being able to get in some quick practice whenever I have a spare moment. The app is easy to use and is helping my game.

As promised this has 180 puzzles and they are good for beginners... They give lot of food to your brain... We really enjoyed these ... So much that we bought the next level in a day.
