This app has over 180 interactive chess problems ranging from easy to harder puzzles that will challenge you and help improve your chess skills. The object is to finish each game by forcing a checkmate in 1 move. The puzzles consist of a large number of classical puzzles collected from a variety of sources. These puzzles are fun to play and can be enjoyed at your leisure on your iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.

Mate in 2 chess problems are especially useful for learning to play chess or anyone wanting to improve their skills.

New features added in Version 2.0 include:

Mate in 1 Chess Puzzles app good for

I like the app. The goal is always "mate in 1". Sometimes I see the solution in 10 seconds, a few times in 4 minutes. Its a good training for a beginner.

Great app! No bugs that i have seen so far. Very smooth, good UI, and fast AI response. Overall this a very good and nicely polished app. The only thing is that mate in 1 is relatively easy, but it does state that in the app description. So overall i would rate it 5 stars.

Really good app, like I enjoy it, not so hard so far and just enough to keep your attention and concentration. Great app to have for chess amateur like me.

I got this app for my son who wants to learn to play chess. So far no issues and am considering getting the mate in 2 etc... after reading one of the users who is having issues after puzzle 50!! going to wait before I buy another one, can the developer please confirm or deny the current issue being brought by one of the users?? Othrer than that great app!!!

This fantastic app is great at teaching opportunity identification. All 188 puzzles work as intended on my 4S.

Excellent app that will help you learn different ways to checkmate.

Some bad moments

It works well until it gets stuck loading. Then none of the problems are accessible. Please fix this. Also, it would be great if each problem had a button to the next puzzle, so you didnt need to return to the index every time.
